One aspect of becoming like Jesus means we learn to relate to God, to one another and to ourselves in healthy ways. The issue is kind of like: Why does it always have to be an adulterous woman? Does God have something against women? Last Sunday, we opened the scriptures to Ezekiel Chapter 16. Passages of scripture like Ezekiel 16, can raise many questions for modern readers. This brief talk tries to answer some of those questions, regarding the vivid, graphic, and even offensive language and images that scripture often employs.
